Coultons is the largest bread wholesaler in the North
West, with an annual turnover of £20 million.

Trumpet was retained to support the business with the positioning and promotion of the company’s own label brand, Bakestone.

We devised a multi-faceted approach with involved generating trade coverage to secure distribution and supporting this with targeted consumer coverage,
blogger engagement, business profiling and sampling
in key geographical areas.

For the Royal Wedding, we got in touch with every street party registered in Liverpool, providing branded bunting, banners and product, generating media coverage in the Liverpool Post and Echo and sampling to over 1,500 people in the process. Liverpool sales saw a significant rise immediately after the activity.

Within eight months of working with the company,
sales of Bakestone went from 55,000 loaves a week to
over 85,000.
